GREAT NEWS!
The Girl Who Changed Little League: The True Story of Maria Pepe and Her Battle to Play Ball was published this year by Christy Ottavanio Books/Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
Best of all, I had the honor of co-authoring the book with Maria Pepe.
Who is Maria Pepe?
Back in 1972, 11-year-old Maria played three games in Little League -- even though it was against the rules for girls to play.
Before long, she was in the middle of a national controversy. The result of the court case would change the lives of girls everywhere.
Illustrated by Sarah Green, this nonfiction picture book brims with bravery and resilience. Readers of all ages will recognize the importance of giving equal opportunities to all children.
Buy the book from your favorite bookseller or ask for it at your local library.

SEE ME IN PERSON!
On Saturday, August 29, I plan to be at the Athletics Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) All Star Cup game in Rosemont, IL. I'll be doing a BOOK GIVEAWAY, so be sure to find me in the concourse.
I'll be with my amazing daughter-in-law, Haylie (Wagner) Patrick, former left-handed pitcher for AU.
