The best part of being an author is visiting schools, libraries, and conferences.

I love to talk about my writing, research, and the content of my books. I even dress in a replica of Jackie Mitchell's 1931 baseball uniform to tell the true story of The Girl Who Struck Out Babe Ruth.

Good news! If your school or organization is located in South Dakota, 50% of my honorarium, mileage, and lodging may be covered by the Visiting Arts Program of the South Dakota Arts Council.
